Biodiversity Transect Analysis in Africa 

In the frame of BIOTA East Africa Project Visual Plants is used in the field as data capturing tool for biodiversity information about plants. This project is funded by the German Ministry of Science and Technology. For further information see the project homepage:

In the framework of the Research group funded by the German DFG working in the tropical montane rain forest in Southern Ecuador Visual Plants is used as data capturing tool and training system for students and scientists.

Scientifically Visual Plants is hosted at the Institute of Botany, University of Hohenheim, near Stuttgart, Germany. Visual Plants is used for student courses, for training students and preparing the data information for the above mentioned projects.
